Well guys, this thread has bloomed far beyond where I thought it would XD! Looks like faction loyalty and rivalry is really strong! I've decided to go VS, because, cmon, they have lasers. I'll try out all three during beta to see what one I'll definitely choose.

Welcome brother... Welcome to the vanu. i'm new as well, and i am looking forward to be fighting alongside you on the battlefield or in the air... who knows, maybe we'll be in the same squard one time....

Honestly its not who you choose sides with its the friends that you will make in the game remember we are all just people in the end enjoy the game for the amazing experience its going to bring you. Try everything you can and you wont even have to think about it. I feel the only problem you will face is when to log off.

I'm new to PlanetSide. Really excited about the beta, got my key already.

I'm just really stuck on deciding what faction to choose! Piloting isn't really my thing, but it's a bonus. I want good infantry and gun play. TR looks cool, but their ideals don't exactly suit me. NC looks very popular, so that's good and bad. And VS is kinda.. eh, but they have alien stuff. I'm into that.

So, from a gameplay first, flavour second perspective, what should I choose?

I used to be vs. but I changed, wanna know why? Lasers. Ew. Just pew pew when the enemies are firing bullets. New conglomerate is where the parties at.

Substance and matter, that's what the digital world tries to scatter. But we can still wake up with a scream, and that makes it very much a dream. The soul needs to be driven, lest apathy comes as a given, and the interest runs out of steam. But this is perhaps a product of wanting order and stability, you know like some Empire philosophy.
